Miquel Moretó, Keynote Speaker at HPC-Fusion 2024

Miquel Moretó, a leading researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC-CNS) and a key figure in the development of cutting-edge RISC-V-based processors, participated as a keynote speaker at HPC-Fusion 2024, held on June 7th in Barcelona.

In his keynote, titled “DRAC: Designing RISC-V-based Accelerators for Next Generation Computers”, Moretó presented the latest breakthroughs from the laboratory, focusing on custom accelerator designs and energy-efficient processors for future European supercomputers, including plans toward MareNostrum 6. His presentation underscored BZL’s commitment to European leadership in high-performance computing (HPC) and advancing technological sovereignty.

The event, a prominent international platform for cutting-edge HPC technologies and data fusion strategies, brought together academic and industry experts to discuss disruptive trends, sustainable approaches, and innovative developments.
