Showcasing the success of the TC1 validation at Mobile World Congress

The Barcelona Zettascale Lab participated in this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC), held in Barcelona from 2–5 March at Fira Gran Via.

Following the successful announcement of the TC1 validation, which was first presented at the HiPEAC Conference in Krakow earlier this year, the Barcelona Zettascale Lab took the opportunity to showcase the TC1 board at MWC as part of the Catalonia Stand of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

The Mobile World Congress once again brought together global leaders in technology, innovation, and digital transformation, creating an ideal environment to highlight cutting-edge European research and development. In this context, the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) participated in the congress, providing visibility to several of its projects working on RISC-V technologies.

The BZL team was present on March 2 and 3, presenting the TC1 board and explaining how the project contributes to advancing European technological sovereignty. The validation of the Cinco Ranch TC1 chip represents a significant milestone, marking a qualitative leap toward the development of sovereign supercomputing technologies in Europe.

The vibrant atmosphere of MWC made it an excellent opportunity to connect with the international innovation ecosystem and to showcase Europe’s progress in next-generation computing technologies.
