Miquel Moretó Represents BZL at the Valencia Silicon Forum

On September 19, the Barcelona Zettascale Lab (BZL) had a strong presence at the Valencia Silicon Forum (VSF), one of the most relevant events in the semiconductor sector in Spain. Our Director of the High Performance Computer Architecture research area at BSC, Miquel Moretó, participated in the panel “Artificial Intelligence and Data Centers”, sharing the vision of our lab and the BZL project.

The panel, held at the Fundación Bancaja in Valencia, brought together industry and academic leaders to discuss the challenges and opportunities at the intersection of AI and computing infrastructure. Joining Moretó were prominent professionals such as Vikas Choudhary from MaxLinear, Jose Capmany from iPronics, and Roger Espasa from Semidynamics.

BZL’s participation in events like the VSF underscores our commitment to innovation and strategic collaboration. Moretó highlighted how our advances in high-performance chips based on the RISC-V architecture and our efforts in sustainability and energy efficiency are crucial for the future of data centers and the development of more efficient artificial intelligence. These forums not only allow us to share our progress but also to strengthen relationships with key partners and foster talent in the sector.

The BZL team is grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a significant event and reaffirms its role as a driver of cutting-edge technology in Europe.
